New Bedford police greet students with high fives at school

NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WLNE) — New Bedford police greeted students at school with high-fives Friday morning.

Officers lined up to welcome students as they arrived at Campbell Elementary School.

New Bedford police said the event, also known as “High-Five Friday,” is a “way for officers to build a positive relationship with the youth.”
