New Bedford police seize drugs, gun

NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WLNE) — Detectives with the New Bedford Police Department seized a stolen firearm and over 500 grams of marijuana Tuesday morning.
The detectives were executing a search warrant at the address of Shane Bradley, 21, on Court St. when they found a Smith & Wesson 9MM firearm.
A check of the firearm’s serial number revealed that it was stolen out of Webster, Mass. in 2018, the department said.
Alongside the firearm and drugs were digital scales, baggies, and $1390 in cash, causing the officers to believe that Bradley was distributing.
Bradley was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of a stolen, large-capacity firearm with high-capacity feeding devices and ammunition, as well as possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, the department said.
