New child abuse unit in the Ag’s office will help victims of Sexual and physical abuse

For the first time ever—- child abuse cases in Rhode Island will be handled by a specialized unit.

The attorney general's office announced today it will prosecute child molestation, abuse, and neglect cases while partnering with police, doctors, and child welfare groups.

It'll give children the chance to tell their stories and get help at the same time… rather than having to meet with a bunch of different agencies.
