New England Institute of Technology to require Covid-19 vaccine for fall

EAST GREENWICH, R.I. (WLNE)- New England Institute of Technology announced Monday it will require all students participating in on-campus classes and activities to be fully vaccinated for Covid-19 before the fall semester.

The institute said it will allow medical and religious exemptions.

Students enrolled in hybrid learning will also be required to get the Covid-19 vaccine. Those who are enrolled in fully online courses do not need to be vaccinated unless they plan on utilizing on-campus facilities.

The decision comes a week after Johnson and Wales announced vaccination would be required for students returning in the fall.
