New technology prevents kids being left behind in hot cars

A new tool that’s designed to prevent kids from being left in hot cars is in the development stages.

It’s being tested in the 2022 Genesis GV 70.

Hidden inside the car’s roof is a radar that can detect a child even if the only movement is their breathing.

The technology is said to detect a child in just 10 seconds.

In addition to sounding an alarm a text message will also be sent to the driver if they have the car’s app downloaded on their smartphone.

The only shortcoming with the new technology is that the system only works once the vehicle has been locked.

Hot Car technology is currently a big topic as the infrastructure bill before congress would make alert systems mandatory in all new vehicles.
