Newport police get ‘good donuts’ from ‘Good Burger’ star

NEWPORT, R.I. (WLNE) — The Newport Police Department said they were surprised with coffee and donuts from two special visitors.

The department said at shift change on Saturday, Mayor Xay Khamsyvoravong and comedian Kenan Thompson paid them a visit.

Officers got to chat with the two amidst production for the upcoming film “Good Burger 2.”

The highly-anticipated sequel will be filmed across Rhode Island this summer.

The film office said fans can anticipate a new group of Good Burger employees and lots of references to the first movie.

The movie will be produced by Nickelodeon Studios and will debut on Paramount+.
