Newport salutes summer with annual concert event

NEWPORT, R.I. (WLNE) — Naval Station Newport’s annual Salute to Summer concert and fireworks event took place Saturday.

The event featured over 16 food trucks, face painting, games, and musical acts.

The event culminates in a fireworks show around 9 p.m.
