Newport woman in possession of child pornography to serve 5 years in federal prison
NEWPORT, R.I. (WLNE)- Karissa A. Cave, 25, of Newport, was sentenced to five years in federal prison, with eight years of supervised release, for being in possession of child pornography.
Cave plead guilty in February of 2020, admitting that in 2016, she asked another individual for a video of an adult sexually abusing a female toddler.
Cave followed up asking “Is there anymore?” to which she was sent another image. The two communicated further about the videos and those in them.
Homeland Security, Rhode Island State Police, and Woonsocket Police worked together in making the arrest.
