Newscast Video Editor (Full-time)

WLNE-TV/ABC 6, the ABC affiliate in beautiful Providence, Rhode Island, is looking for a full-time Newscast Editor. The ideal candidate will be innovative and will bring creativity to their style of editing for the newscasts. In addition, the ideal candidate must be detail-oriented, with an eye for accuracy and precision.

Responsibilities:

  • Edit video for for one or more daily newscasts
  • Conduct quality control checks for video across newscasts
  • Edit story packages and long-form stories as-needed
  • Shoot video in the field as-needed
  • Assist assignment desk in daily newsgathering
  • Write for the WLNE media platforms and assist the assignment desk

Qualifications:

  • Ability to meet deadlines throughout the work day
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong video editing skills
  • Knowledge of a working newsroom and Adobe Premiere preferred
