Nicolas Cage Sells Rhode Island Mansion
MIDDLETOWN, R.I. (AP) – Actor Nicolas Cage has sold an oceanfront Rhode Island mansion he purchased in 2007.
The Providence Journal reports the 24,000-square-foot home in Middletown sold for $6.2 million to a couple from Massachusetts.
Cage paid $15.7 million for the mansion and 26 acres of land. The estate has 12 bedrooms, 10 bathrooms, ocean views, a tennis court and pool.
The Academy Award winner put the mansion on the market a year after he bought it, originally listing the property at $15.9 million.
The real estate agent for the property, Melanie Delman of Lila Delman Real Estate, says buyers Pamela and Andrew Constantine plan to rent out the property when they are not staying there.
