North Dighton man accused of driving drunk in Rehoboth
REHOBOTH, Mass. (WLNE) — A North Dighton man is accused of driving drunk Thursday night in Rehoboth.
Police said they responded to the area of Simmons Street and Reservoir Avenue at about 9:30 p.m. for a car that was off the road.
Sgt. Craig Forget said that when they arrived at the scene, they found a car in the woods and Christopher Berry, 42, standing next to it.
Forget said that while speaking with officers, Berry showed signs of impairment.
He was arrested and charged with OUI-liquor 2nd offense, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, and other motor vehicle related charges.
Berry was later released on bail is scheduled in Taunton District Court Friday for an arraignment.
