North Kingstown man charged with DUI, leaving the scene of a crash

NORTH KINGSTOWN, R.I. (WLNE) — A 29-year-old man from North Kingstown is charged with DUI and leaving the scene of an accident after his arrest last week.

According to police, Zebadiah Sullivan, 29, is charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and leaving the scene of an accident with an attended motor vehicle.

Police said a patrolman stopped Sullivan on Richmond Townhouse Road after a Good Samaritan reported that he was driving erratically and crossing double-yellow lines.

Officials said Sullivan was arrested on suspicion of DUI based on officer observations and a series of field sobriety tests.

Sullivan was taken to the North Kingstown police station where he took a blood-alcohol test that read .238. He was later processed and arraigned by a bail commissioner.

Authorities said they later learned that Sullivan was previously involved in a crash with another can on Route 95 north.

He was released on personal recognizance and is expected to be re-arraigned on the charges in 4th Division District Court.
