North Kingstown police advise travelers of heavy traffic for fireworks

NORTH KINGSTOWN, R.I. (WLNE) — The North Kingstown Police Department issued a reminder on Wednesday advising travelers of predicted heavy traffic.

The department said North Kingstown will hold its fireworks display Wednesday night at sundown.

Commuters can expect heavy traffic in the area of Boston Neck Road, Beach Street and surrounding areas.

Police are asking travelers utilize alternate routes.
