North Kingstown to launch new investigation following new allegations
NORTH KINGSTOWN, R.I. (WLNE)- The North Kingstown School Department is launching an investigation into the allegations that surfaced on Thursday, according to the interim superintendent Michael Waterman.
“Upon learning about the information contained in Attorney Conlon’s letter yesterday, I have reviewed the actions of the previous Superintendent. As the new Interim Superintendent in North Kingstown, I would like to assure you that I am handling this matter in an immediate and transparent way,” said Waterman.
The superintendent said that the staff member being accused was immediately placed on administrative leave. Waterman also will have the department’s independent investigator, Attorney Matthew Oliverio, launch a new investigation.
