North Providence house fire sends one to the hospital, kills three dogs

NORTH PROVIDENCE, R.I (WLNE) – North Providence fire crews were on the scene of a house fire on Rosemont Terrace early Monday morning.

The North Providence Fire Chief says one person was rushed to the hospital with injuries, and three dogs died after firefighters tried giving them CPR.

The cause of the fire is not known at this time.

This is the first of two fires that happened in North Providence.

Hours later, several departments were called for an abandoned house fire on Hamlin Street.
