North Providence man strikes a gas line while installing a new deck on Monday
NORTH PROVIDENCE, RI (WLNE) – Crews were called to a home on Meadowview Boulevard in North Providence Monday morning after a man struck a gas line while installing a new deck.
Police say the man accidentally struck a gas line Monday around 10:40 a.m.
National Grid shut off the gas to the home and police and fire departments blocked off the area.
Crews from National Grid worked to repair the gas line for most of Monday morning and early afternoon.
Police tell ABC6 that the area is now cleared.
