North Providence Police search for Salvation Army break in suspect

NORTH PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) – Police are looking for the suspect in these surveillance images, who broke into the Smith Street Salvation Army late last week.

Police were able to conclude that the suspect entered by breaking the glass of the front door to get in.

Once in, the suspect broke several candy machines and cash registers. 

A Salvation Army representative joined Police on the scene a short while later, an after assessing the situation concluded that an unknown amount of change was taken from the candy machines.

Police ask that anyone with information, or who might recognize the individual in the surveillance images contact Detective Phelan of the North Providence Police Department at 401-231-4533 at ext. 141.
