Northborough police searching for suspect of overnight hit-and-run

NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. (WLNE) — The Northborough Police Department said they are looking for the suspect of a hit-and-run accident late Saturday night.
Authorities said the suspect is a man who fled on foot after crashing his car. He was last seen in a wooded area behind the Northborough Water Department building on School Street.
Officials said a state police helicopter and K-9 units searched the area near School Street and Brigham Street but have since been cleared.
An update to their post said police received a tip that the suspect may be at a family member’s house.
Northborough police said they will be issuing an arrest warrant for the suspect.
They further thanked the Westborough Police Department and Massachusetts State Police for their help.
