Norton Police Department introduces new police K-9

NORTON, Mass. (WLNE) — The Norton Police Department announced the addition of a new police dog, K-9 Ryder.

The department said that Ryder is 11 weeks old and is attending the puppy academy, and will be “actively involved in community policing assignments.”

The department added that the puppy came from the Golden Opportunities for Independence service dog program.

Ryder’s handler will be Det. Rachel Mailloux, a 15 year veteran of the department
