Norton prostitution sting nabs 5 Massachusetts men

NORTON, Mass. (WLNE) – Five men have been arrested as a result of a prostitution sting at a Norton hotel.

Norton Police conducted a prostitution sting at the Extended Stay America Hotel on South Washington Street Friday night with the cooperation of hotel management.  

Detectives placed advertisements on websites offering escort services for individuals seeking sex.  Undercover officers answered texts sent by individuals arranging meetings for sex for a fee.  

The following individuals were arrested in connection with the sting operation.

  • Kristopher Costa, 43, of Taunton
  • Phillip Havener, 33, of Taunton
  • Brady Michael Landers, 33, of Amesbury
  • Junior Galvao, 35, of Brockton
  • David Bernier, 32, of New Bedford

All five offenders were charged with Sexual Conduct for a Fee, Solicitation of Prostitution and Attempt to Commit a Crime.  Police said Landers was also charged with Resisting Arrest. 

All five men will be arraigned in Attleboro District Court on Monday.

Norton Police were assisted in the operation by Northern Bristol County Drug Task Force, comprised of detectives from Norton, Attleboro, Easton, Mansfield, Raynham and Taunton Police Departments.
