WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE) — Authorities at the Rhode Island Department of Health (RIDOH) have recommended closing Oakland Beach for swimming due to high bacteria counts.
Water quality analysis was conducted from samples taken from the Warwick beach, proving high numbers, but the status of a beach may change daily, said RIDOH officials.
Up-to-date beach information can be found through a recorded message on RIDOH’s beaches telephone line at: (401-222-2751) and online here.
