Oakland Beach Still Closed to Swimming

The Rhode Island Department of Health re-opened Gorton Pond Beach in Warwick to swimming on Saturday, saying that bacteria levels in the water had receded to within acceptable limits.

That leaves Oakland Beach in Warwick as the only beach in Rhode Island still closed to swimmers because of bacteria.
