Officials issue an Air Quality Alert for Monday
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management issued an Air Quality Alert on Monday.
Officials said heavy smoke may impact western Rhode Island in the late afternoon.
The air quality along the coastline is expected to reach the moderate level Monday night.
The alert comes about a month after smoke from raging Canadian wildfires impacted the region.
