Oldest Newport mansions to open to public Tuesday

NEWPORT, R.I. (WLNE) — The Preservation Society of Newport County is opening daily tours for its two oldest properties starting May 30.
Kingscote and Hunter House will be open through July 30.
The Kingscote tour is self-guided, while the Hunter House Tour is guide-led and will be offered six times per day.
Admission to Kingscote is via a One-Property, Duo, Trio or Access Pass ticket, while Hunter House visitors will need a timed ticket.
Both properties are free to access for Preservation Society members.
Tickets and reservation are found at NewportMansions.org.
Kingscote was recently repainted to a more accurate color, and both mansions were visited by a Dartmouth College team earlier this month for a research project.
