Three dead following overnight crash on Route 95 near West Warwick

WEST WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE)- Three people have died following an overnight crash on Route 95 Southbound, according to Rhode Island State Police.

State police confirm to ABC6 that the the driver veered off of the right side of the highway near Exit 8 and crashed into a tree, where the car was engulfed in flames.

State Police say speed was a factor in the crash.

The vehicle had three occupants, and all three of them were pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash only involved the one vehicle.

None of the occupants have been identified. State Police say the Medical Examiner’s Office is working to identify them via dental records.
