Police identify one woman dead in fatal Dartmouth crash, two hospitalized

DARTMOUTH, MASS. (WLNE)- Massachusetts State Police are investigating a fatal rollover crash in Dartmouth from Sunday night.

Massachusetts State Troopers, along with Fire and EMS units, responded to the single-car cash just after 10p.m.

A Jeep was traveling on Route 195 westbound when it went off the road to the left, entered the grassy median, and struck a tree.

There were three people in the car, according to state police.

One of the passengers in the Jeep was determined to be dead on scene.

Police later identified the victim as Eleanor Estrella, 63, of New Bedford.

Two others were transported to St. Luke’s Hospital for injuries.

The driver, a 25-year-old New Bedford woman, suffered life-threating injuries and is in critical condition.

The other passenger, a 17-year-old New Bedford girl, suffered non-life threatening injuries.

Cause of the crash still remains under investigation.
