One hospitalized after bus crashes into Norwood restaurant

NORWOOD, Mass. (WLNE) — One person was taken to the hospital after a bus slammed into a restaurant in Norwood Saturday night, according to the fire department.

Emergency crews in Norwood responded to the accident just before 10:30 p.m. for a report of an accident on Providence Highway.

There, they found a school bus struck a building after being involved in a crash on Route 1. Photos showed the bus partially inside of The Chateau Restaurant.

Fire crews evacuated the building after finding a fluid leak.

One person was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
