One hospitalized after fire at nursing home in Providence
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — A person was taken to the hospital after being removed from a fire at a Providence nursing home Wednesday morning.
The fire happened at about 11 a.m. at a nursing home on Randall Street.
Firefighters said that a 60-year-old man was taken to the the hospital after inhaling smoke. He is expected to be alright.
The fire started in the bedroom of a fourth floor apartment, according to firefighters.
The fire was knocked down just before 11:30 a.m.
The cause is still under investigation.
No further information was immediately released.
