One hospitalized after being shot while sitting in car in Cranston

CRANSTON, R.I. (WLNE) – One man was injured Monday afternoon in a broad daylight shooting while sitting in his car.

Police tell ABC6 the man was shot in the arm and another bullet grazed his neck.

At the time of the shooting, he was sitting in a car with a woman in the passenger seat and a young child in the back.

A worker at a gas station nearby the shooting said the man ran into the convenience store in a “panic” after being shot.

The worker told ABC6 that the child kept saying “My mommy’s boyfriend was shot.”

The man was transported to Rhode Island Hospital. His condition is not known at this time.

Police have not released information about a suspect.
