One killed in Dartmouth crash

DARTMOUTH, Mass. (WLNE)- Dartmouth police said a man died in a single-car crash Thursday morning.

Police said the crash happened at 7:15 a.m. on Prospect Street.

When officers arrived, they found a 2008 Toyota Tundra in the woods with heavy front end damage.

The driver was identified as 61-year-old Antonio Vassal of Dartmouth. He was found at the scene and pronounced dead.

Dartmouth police and Massachusetts State Police detectives are investigating the crash.

Vassal’s cause of death is still under investigation by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner of Massachusetts.
