BURRILLVILLE, R.I. (WLNE) – Burrillville police are investigating a fatal crash that killed a Massachusetts man on Sunday.

Burrillville Chief of Police Colonel Stephen Lynch said officers responded to the sand pits area of Munyon Trail in Burrillville for a report of a Jeep that had crashed.

Police found a 2008 Jeep owned and operated by 19-year-old Anthony Pollini of Rockland, Massachusetts, had driven through an off-road sand hill in the area.

He was transported by helicopter from the scene to UMass Medical Center in Worcester where he was pronounced dead.
