WEST WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE) – An online auction kicked off Monday for everything inside the buildings of the former West Valley Inn.

Bidding started at 10 a.m. through Warwick-based S.J Corio Company and include items like plates, pizza ovens, even sinks, and toilets.

“I’m like a kid in a candy store right now. This is like Christmas to me,” said Terry Saccomango of North Providence.

There was a steady stream of curious bidders taking a trip down memory lane, as the doors were open until 3 p.m. Monday for people to get a closer look at the lot.

“It’s the West Valley Inn, so you know, I felt the need to at least come walk through one last time,” said Stephen Gardner of Cranston.

The popular banquet facility closed in 2016 and was purchased out of receivership two years ago by LaCroix Properties.

Co-owner Roy LaCroix Jr. told ABC6 that they wanted to reopen the banquet hall, but couldn’t find someone to lease the property. They’re now seeking approval from the town to redevelop the land into condominiums.

Bidding ends Wednesday at noon, click here for the link to register.
