Over 62,000 pounds of beef recalled on eve of Memorial Day Weekend

NORTH AURORA, Ill. (WLNE) – Just days before Memorial Day, an Illinois meat-packing company has recalled over 62,000 pounds of beef after concerns of E. coli contamination.
Aurora Packing Company, Inc., based out of North Aurora, is recalling approximately 62,112 pounds of raw beef products that may be contaminated with E. coli bacteria, the USDA announced Thursday.
The recalled products should have the establishment number “EST. 788” inside the USDA mark of inspection on their packaging.
The USDA said the products were shipped nationwide.
There have been no confirmed reports of sickness related to the recalled product, but any consumer concerned about an illness should contact their healthcare provider.
