An overnight fire in Providence sent two firefighters to the hospital.

Flames tore through the vacant three-story home on Norwich Avenue early Thursday morning, starting on the first and second floors.

No one was inside when crews arrived.

It took them just under an hour to knock the fire down.

The cold, snowy conditions made it tougher for firefighters to get to the scene, with narrow roads making it hard for trucks to get through.

Two firefighters were treated for minor injuries, but are expected to be okay.

The fire marshal is investigating the cause.
