‘Overnight upgrade’ left some Verizon customers without service overnight

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Some Verizon customers were left without service early Friday morning.

The company said that the outage was due to a “scheduled overnight upgrade.”

“The issue was quickly identified and resolved. Service was restored at approximately 5am ET,” Verizon said in a statement to ABC6 News.
