P-Bruins Tardif Signed by Sabres

BUFFALO, N.Y. — The Buffalo Sabres have signed journeyman minor-league forward Jamie Tardif to a one-year contract.

Selected by Calgary in the fourth-round of the 2003 draft,
Tardif has spent most of his seven professional in the minors. Last
year, he finished tied for fifth among American Hockey League players
with career-best 30 goals playing for Providence, the Boston Bruins'
affiliate.

Tardif also made his NHL debut last season, playing in two games for Boston.

Overall, he has 123 goals, 106 assists and 398 penalty minutes in 438 career AHL games.

He's expected to open next season with AHL Rochester, the Sabres affiliate.
