Parked car set on fire by thrown fireworks in Franklin

FRANKLIN, MASS (WLNE) – Franklin police are investigating after fireworks thrown from a passing car set a parked car on fire.
Police say the incident happened on East Street earlier in July, but the vehicle in question, a darker colored Toyota Corolla had been throwing fireworks for several days.
In the surveillance footage, a puff of smoke can be seen in the top right corner before the front end of the car catches fire.
Firefighters were able to prevent the flames from spreading to any nearby buildings, but the car is a total loss, police say.
At this time, no arrests have been made and anybody with information is asked to reach out to the detective division of the Franklin Police Department.
