Part of the East Bay Bike Path in Riverside to close Monday morning

EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Part of the East Bay Bike Path in the Riverside section of East Providence will be closed on Monday morning.

The Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management said a stretch of the path will be inaccessible for about three hours starting at 7 a.m. for paving repairs. The project is weather-permitting.

The department said there are two sinkholes on a small bridge north of Crescent View Avenue that need to be fixed.

Temporary signage will be posted on the north and south side amid the work.
