Passenger killed, driver injured in suspected Warwick road rage incident

WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE) — One person died and another person was injured after a rollover crash in a suspected road rage incident on I-95 North near Route 4 in Warwick on Saturday morning.

The driver of the truck, with those two people, was being investigated as the “aggressor.”

Both the driver and the passenger of the truck were taken to Rhode Island Hospital, where the passenger died.

Rhode Island State Police wouldn’t release any information on the two people in the truck, but said the driver could be facing charges.

The other vehicle involved was believed to be just the driver, who stayed on scene and waited for emergency responders, police said.

The condition of the driver of the truck was unclear, as of early Saturday evening.

The other driver, who stayed on scene, was not hurt.
