Patrice Bergeron Named to NHL All-Star Team

In 42 regular season games during the 2014-15 season, Bergeron notched 10 goals (second on the team) and 21 assists (first on the team) for 31 points (first on the team) with a plus-eight rating. Bergeron ranks second in the league in faceoff wins with 553 and second in face-off percentage with 59.3%

Bergeron won the 2014 Selke Trophy as the league’s top defensive forward, it marked his third straight Selke nomination and the second time he’s won the award in the past three years, last earning the honor in 2012. Also in 2014, he was named the recipient of the NHL Foundation Player Award, which recognizes an NHL player “who applies the core values of hockey — commitment, perseverance and teamwork — to enrich the lives of people in his community.” Bergeron was also named the winner of the EA Sports NHL 15 Cover Vote.

In 701 NHL games –all with the Bruins – Bergeron has amassed 193 goals and 333 assists for 526 points with 253 penalty minutes and a plus-116 rating. Bergeron has registered 39 game winning goals from 2003-15, including a career-high seven in the 2013-14 season.

The Bruins centerman has skated in 95 career postseason games with Boston, accruing 23 goals and 43helpers for 66 points with five game winning goals. Bergeron was a member of the 2011 Cup Championship team, contributing six goals (tied for seventh in the NHL) and 14 assists (tied for second in the NHL) in 23 games with a plus-15rating (second in the NHL).

Bergeron won two gold medals with Team Canada in 2010 and 2014.

The 6’2”, 195-poundnative of Ancienne-Lorette, Quebec was selected by the Boston Bruins in the second round (45th overall) of the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.

The Columbus Blue Jackets and city of Columbus will host the 2015 NHL All-Star festivities from January 24 to 25, marking a first for the city and Club.
