Patriots Claim Two Receivers, Set Practice Squad, See Gillislee, Other Recent Cuts Find NFL Homes

The Patriots reportedly claimed former Seattle Seahawks receiver Amara Darboh and former Jets receiver Chad Hansen on waivers. The two pass catchers are immediately on the team’s 53-man actice roster.

Recently released Patriots running back Mike Gillislee reportedly signed a one year contract with the New Orleans Saints.

Former starting defensive end Eric Lee was signed by the Detroit Lions and added to their practice squad.

Cyrus Jones, a second round pick by the Pats in 2016 was added to the Baltimore Ravens practice squad.


The New England Patriots announced today that they have signed eight players to the practice squad: OL Cole Croston, QB Danny Etling, OL James Ferentz, DL Trent Harris, WR Riley McCarron, DT Vincent Valentine, RB Ralph Webb and CB Jomal Wiltz. All of those players were with the team for training camp. In addition, the Patriots have placed 2018 seventh-round draft pick (250th overall) TE Ryan Izzo on injured reserve.
