Patriots Fullback and Brown Alum James Develin Announces Retirement
Brown Alum and three-time Super Bowl Champion Patriots fullback James Develin announced his retirement on social media Monday.
Develin had a neck injury that caused him to miss all of the 2019 season.
He joined the Patriots as after converting from playing defensive line for the Brown Bears. He spent time in the United and Arena Football Leagues before coming to the NFL.
The fullback originally signed with the Cincinnati Bengals practice squad before joining the Patriots’.
Once he made the active roster, he helped the team win Super Bowls XLIX, LI, and LII.
