Patriots Host “Merch Madness” Giveaway for Area Kids
On Tuesday, June 27, global digital sports platform Fanatics has partnered with the Patriots to host a local Merch Madness: Fan Gear Giveaway event for invited guests from local Boys & Girls Clubs at the Socios.com Field House, the Patriots indoor practice facility located at Gillette Stadium. The event is part of Fanatics’ annual Global Volunteer Day where the company pauses operations, allowing employees to volunteer and give back in their local communities. The biggest component to this year’s event is a new initiative called Merch Madness: Fan Gear Giveaway in which more than 300,000 pieces of licensed apparel (with a retail value of approximately $15 million) will be donated to underserved youth and their families in markets across the country. The merchandise being donated will include a combination of jerseys, T-shirts, hoodies, hats, jackets and more. This is a private event for invited guests only.
The Patriots, a Fanatics partner, will host multiple youth groups from local Boys & Girls Clubs at the Socios.com Field House throughout the day on June 27. The kids will get to play on the indoor practice field and interact with executives and local celebrities. Expected attendees (subject to change) include Patriots Chairman and CEO Robert Kraft, Fanatics CEO Michael Rubin, Patriots legend Julian Edelman, Patriots defensive backs Jonathan Jones and Jalen Mills, hip-hop star Lil’ Baby, Boston Celtics star Grant Williams and others.
