Patriots’ New Players Take Center Stage at First Open OTA

The public got its first look at the 2021 New England Patriots Thursday, as the team hosted media for the first open practice of the season.

In the hour-plus session, the rotation of all four quarterbacks took center stage, as veterans Cam Newton, Jarrett Stidham, and Brian Hoyer were joined by rookie first round pick Mac Jones.

The Patriots made a splash in free agency, spending the most money they ever had in an offseason. A few of those big ticket acquisitions were on the field Thursday: Tight end Hunter Henry, wide receivers Nelson Agholor and Kendrick Bourne, along with safety Jalen Mills.

Tight end Jonnu Smith and linebacker Matthew Judon were not present for the voluntary workout.
