Patriots’ Ross Douglas: The Youngest Coach in the NFL

At 70 years old, Bill Belichick is one of the oldest coaches in the NFL, but he employs the youngest coach in the league: wide receivers’ coach Ross Douglas, who is 27 years old.

Douglas is in his second season with the Patriots, his first as an official position coach. He spent last season as a member of the Bill Walsh Coaching Diversity Fellowship. The Pats hired him full time after that.

He was a defensive assistant last season, and is making the switch to coach wide receivers. Douglas played running back, wide receiver, and defensive back during his collegiate career at Michigan and Rutgers.
