Patriots Trade Harmon to Lions

The New England Patriots have reportedly traded safety Duron Harmon to the Detroit Lions.

The move reunited Harmon with former defensive coordinator and current Lions head coach Matt Patricia.

It also saves New England about $4.5M in salary cap space.

The Patriots drafted Harmon out of Rutgers in the third round of the 2013 draft, and he had spent his career with the Pats to this point.

Known as “the closer” for his late, game-sealing interceptions, Harmon has 17 career interceptions.
