Pawtucket apartment building fire displaces six families

PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WLNE) — Six families are displaced after fire tore through an apartment building in Pawtucket.

Crews were called to the three-story home on Park Street around 1:00 PM Sunday. They arrived to find flames on all three levels of that building.

Everyone made it out safely, and crews were able to get the fire out quickly, but there is heavy damage throughout the home. Despite the close proximity of other houses, firefighters were able to keep the flames from spreading.

The fire marshal’s office is looking into the exact cause of the fire. The Red Cross is assisting the residents that were displaced.
