Pawtucket Police Arrest Two In Connection With Vale Street Fire

Just days after an intense fire burned through a Pawtucket triple-decker, two men have been arrested for their roles in the blaze.

Raymond Gyamfi, 21, and Jeremy Lopes, 22, were arrested Thursday and charged with 1st Degree Arson, Witness Intimidation, and Conspiracy to Commit Arson.

Gyamfi was also charged with Burglary, from an incident in December, also at the Vale Street building.

The first broke out Wednesday morning, and displaced several families. Police ruled Thursday that the fire was intentionally set, as a means of intimidation against a tenant, set to testify in court against the men charged in a December 6th home invasion.

Both Gyamfi and Lopes are set to be arraigned in Providence District Court Friday afternoon.
