Pawtucket Bank Robbed, Suspect in Custody
Pawtucket Police, working with Providence Police, have quickly nabbed a suspect in a Monday morning bank robbery in the city.
The Pawtucket Credit Union location on Smithfield Ave was robbed shortly before 10am Monday, but a male who handed a note to the clerk. The suspect fled in a vehicle with an unknown amount of cash. Reports indicated the suspect may have been fleeing in Lincoln.
Then, around 11am, Providence Police took a man into custody who fit the description of the suspect. Pawtucket Police are now working with the Providence officers to identify the suspect.
It's not known how much money has been recovered.
