Pawtucket Gears Up For St. Patrick’s Day Parade

Pawtucket Mayor Donald Grebian continued another St. Patrick's Day tradition today. The mayor re-painted the giant shamrock in front of City Hall with the help of the St. Patrick's Day Parade Committee.
This year will be the city's 30th annual Parade and will be Grand Marshaled by State Representative Mary Duffy Messier.
“I am truly humbled to have been chosen to lead one of the city's longest and most treasured traditions,” said Representative Messier. “I want to thank the rest of the committee for all of its hard work. I know how much goes into this beloved event every year and I'm truly honored to be a part of it.”
The Parade, which is scheduled to kick off at 12 o'clock on March third at McCoy Stadium will begin on Division Street. It will then snake its way to its final destination at City Hall.
